  • Spring 2025 has officially arrived, bringing new vitality to our urban forests! This striking project, courtesy of our UK headquarters, showcases Foxglove trees in full bloom at St. Peter’s Square in Manchester. Year after year, these magnificent trees put on an impressive display that continues to captivate visitors each spring season. We're eagerly anticipating the growth of new tree installations across the country as they begin to leaf out this spring, establishing their presence and thriving for generations to come. ?? #UrbanForests #Spring2025

  • Why City Trees Live or Die (Part 3): The crucial finishing touches many designers miss. ?? ???????? ??????????????????: Quality, healthy soil is a vital and often overlooked part of tree planting. The ideal mix mirrors forest floor conditions – uncompacted, free-draining fertile loam soil. ?? ????????????????????, ???????????????? & ????????????????: Proactive irrigation produces three times the root mass of reactive approaches. Aeration vents are essential under paved areas, to allow the soil to "breathe". Remember to plan for drainage; water-logged pits can also become deadly anaerobic environments. ?? ?????????????? ??????????????????????: A tree’s first three years are critical. Develop a maintenance plan that evolves as your tree grows, from establishment to full maturity. This three-part guide provides actionable insights to ensure your urban forestry investments deliver maximum environmental, social, and economic benefits for generations. • Two roads diverged in a city, and we took the road more forested. ?? Which road would you take? Street trees are more than just looks and shade—they're smart city design: ● ?????????????? ??????????????: Trees create a visual narrowing effect that naturally slows drivers, making streets safer for everyone. ● ?????????? ??????????????????: The dense canopy acts as a sound barrier, quieting noisy urban corridors into more peaceful places. ● ?????? ??????????????:?Each tree works like a continual air filter, cleaning our urban atmosphere. Life on the streets can be tough on trees, though, and these benefits only come from those that survive to maturity. Thoughtful planting—mimicking natural forest conditions—is critical to helping urban forests thrive. Learn More:https://lnkd.in/eu7zEBqC #UrbanPlanning #SustainableCities #StreetDesign

    • Text reads "this or that?" and shows two contrasting images, one of a busy street without trees, and one with trees.
  • Urban forestry meets smart engineering, and downtown Atlanta gets greener because of it. ?? It was an honor to partner with Trees Atlanta on the installation of this tree pit trial. As campaigners fighting tree loss and expanding Metro Atlanta's canopy cover, Trees Atlanta's mission perfectly aligns with our vision. We're eagerly watching these new urban trees take root in their RootSpace soil cell systems. The beauty of our system is that the trees won't have to compromise, they'll access natural growing conditions despite their urban surroundings. • Why City Trees Live or Die (Part 2): Once you've done your homework, it's time to get practical about planting strategies. ?? ???????? ???????????? ??????????????: Trees need at least 300-500 cubic feet of soil to survive, but more soil means faster growth and longer life. ?? ???????????? ??????????????: From compacted soil (cheap but ineffective) to soil cells (pricier but 97% soil volume)—your choice dramatically impacts tree survival. Hybrid solutions can balance cost and performance. ?? ???????? ???????? ??????????????????????: Even complex or cramped urban infrastructure can accommodate healthy trees with proper planning. ???????????? ????????: Trees are living creatures, not inanimate objects. When planted with that in mind, they'll transform your cityscape for decades. • Take it from our customer in Miami, hurricanes are no match for our ArborGuy tree anchors. ???? Even if your streetscape won’t see high winds, underground tree anchors far surpass traditional tree staking methods. Here’s why: ●??????????????? ??????????????????????: no unsightly tree stakes on your newly finished streetscape. ●?????????-????-??????-????????????-????: Eliminates the need for regular stake adjustments and maintenance. ●??????????? ?????????????????? ?????? ?????????? for the tree, especially in areas with high winds. ●??????????????????? ????????????: Allows the trunk to sway, which helps it grow and strengthen. ?? • Text reads: "We have used the ArborGuy root ball anchoring system on several projects around Miami because of the hurricanes we get. So far, the ones installed on this project have held up through 2 hurricanes."
