Every day in the United States we release 30 billion gallons of treated wastewater into our streams, rivers, lakes, and oceans. The current state-of-the-art treatment processes include adding hazardous chemicals to sequester harmful nutrients like phosphate and sulfide. Green Steel Environmental’s technologies began as research projects at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Our first license option is for a patented product that provides a sustainable, up-cycled alternative to these chemicals to allow resource recovery plants to effectively and sustainably clean wastewater. Our second license option is for a patent-pending product that sustainably cleans hydrogen sulfide and other co-contaminants from biogas operations so that it can be used as renewable natural gas.
