Shoutout to DNDA for engaging youth stewards! Earlier in the month DNDA hosted 40 youth from Kennedy Catholic High School for the school's annual service retreat. Students removed blackberry from a restoration site in Camp Long's central forest and planted over 100 native plants.
关于我们
The Green Seattle Partnership is a collaboration between City of Seattle, community groups and non-profits, businesses, schools, and thousands of volunteers working together to restore and actively maintain the City’s forested parklands. We think that a great city can balance urban life with nature, and we want Seattle to stay healthy and green for generations to come. Our parks give us so much, but they need our help too.

Strolls around Seward Park’s main loop and along its multiple trails are a popular choice for those who are wanting to be surrounded by nature and take in some fresh air. In addition to having gorgeous views of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier, Seward Park is also home to the Magnificent Forest, a haven for all kinds of wildlife. To keep the Magnificent Forest healthy, the Friends of Seward Park's Forest Health Project has focused on researching the root cause of sword fern die-offs. After years of volunteer-led work, next steps require professional scientific research in order to understand and promote forest health not only in the Magnificent Forest, but across the region. ?? Connect with project volunteers in-person at our Earth Day event at Town Hall Seattle on April 22!
