At Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden, nature doesn’t just inspire the wines—it shapes the entire experience. When we designed the winery’s tasting room in 2016, our goal was to create a building that thrives in harmony with nature. Part of that aspirational goal was connecting visitors to the beauty of the Applegate Valley. Large windows, glass doors and a generous outdoor deck were all carefully placed to frame sweeping views of the vineyard, gardens and surrounding hills. #CowhornWines #DesignBuild #LivingBuildingChallenge #ApplegateValley #OregonWines

We’re big fans of metal roofs—for good reason. They’re not only durable, fire-resistant and energy-efficient, but their clean, modern look elevates any home’s curb appeal. And when it’s time for a new roof decades in the future, metal is fully recyclable—unlike many conventional roofing materials. According to the EPA, roof installations generate around 11 million tons of shingle waste and installation scrap each year, much of it ending up in landfills. Choosing metal helps reduce that waste and shrink your home’s environmental footprint.

For five decades, the Portland Saturday Market has been a hub of creativity, culture, and connection. A new documentary by our friend and artist Keelan Booth brings this vibrant story to life — featuring voices from founders, artists, food vendors, performers, and longtime visitors who’ve helped shape the market into what it is today. 🎬 Premiering Wednesday, April 30 at Cinema 21 - https://lnkd.in/gw7cqE-Y

We all breathe easier with clean, fresh air—so why shouldn’t our homes help provide it? 🌿 Modern homes are built to be airtight to conserve energy and reduce drafts. But without the right systems, that tight seal can trap moisture, carbon dioxide, and indoor pollutants—leading to poor indoor air quality. That’s why we design our homes with high-performance ventilation systems that constantly bring in fresh, filtered air and push out the stale air. Photo by George Barberis

Congratulations to the Port of Portland for being recognized by Fast Company as an innovator and leader!
Well, look at that—the Port of Portland just landed on Fast Company’s list of the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies of 2025. Right up there with YouTube and the WNBA. That’s quite a big deal for a public agency. Apparently, turning an airport into a full-on love letter to the Pacific Northwest—with a locally sourced mass timber roof, all Oregon shops, 90% union-built everything, geothermal systems cutting fossil fuel use by 90%, and art that tells the story of Oregon—really does grab attention. Who knew? (We had a hunch.) Check out the full feature and see how our very own PDX is redefining what an airport can be—carpet and all: https://lnkd.in/gD5sPTgN ---------- #pdxairport #portlandoregon #pdxnext #FCMostInnovative
