We’re excited to share and celebrate three years of collaboration with Osborn Triangle in Kendall Square! ?? Over the years, the integration of vegetable gardens has not only enhanced employee engagement but has also transformed Osborn Triangle, a Bulfinch office property, into a nature-infused workspace, inspiring connection to food and community. As Tori Donovan, Assistant Property Manager at Osborn Triangle, puts it, “The garden has been a fabulous amenity for our properties, underscoring our commitment to sustainability and enabling meaningful connections for our tenants.” . . . #sustainability #greencitygrowers #biophilia #officegarden #urbanfarming

We had a fantastic time at our annual Fall Harvest Event! These events are special to us as they bring together our partners from commercial real estate, schools and youth organizations, government, and more to celebrate urban farming. This year was especially meaningful as we presented the inaugural Gus Schumacher Award to Mayor Michelle Wu, recognizing her support for gardens and farms in Boston Public Schools. A special thank you to Shani Fletcher, Director of GrowBoston, who accepted the award on the Mayor's behalf, in the presence of Gus Schumacher's wife, Susan Holaday Schumacher. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible—we look forward to continuing to grow together and make a positive impact in our community. ??

Boston Public Schools students are growing what they eat in their cafeteria salad bars! Through our farming-as-a-service program, a Green City Growers’ farmer educator works with students and teachers each week to help students understand what it means to grow food hydroponically from seed to leaf via Fork Farms' units. Our partnership with BPS Eats was made possible through the MA FRESH grant program, the USDA Patrick Leahy grant program, and Fork Farms donations. . . . #hydroponic?#bostonpublicschools?#schoolgardens?#sustainability?#schoolcafeteria

We are proud to be the farmers to maintain the Freight Farms Garden unit installed at the Museum of Science. We are excited to be a part of this great collaboration to help expose Bostonians to one of the futures of food production! “We’re excited to bring together these innovators who are transforming our agricultural system to make it more resilient and sustainable. This is a good example of the Museum’s role in highlighting the contributions that area businesses are making in the effort to create a sustainable future.” says Tim Ritchie, President, Museum of Science. “We’re so excited to introduce one of our farms at the Museum of Science,” says Rick Vanzura, CEO of Freight Farms. “Through this urban farming installation, thousands of museum visitors – children and adults, locals and tourists – can observe plant life cycles and witness the future of food production. With Green City Growers overseeing the Garden, we’re in excellent hands. Based on our previous collaborations with them across Greater Boston, we’re confident that the Garden will always look lush and yield beautiful, abundant produce.” . . . #sustainability #hydroponics #urbanfarming
