Talbert III, CDME., former #GMCVB President & CEO, as he was inducted into U.S. Travel Association’s Hall of Leaders, the industry’s highest honor. Joining him in this prestigious recognition was Chris Thompson, former President & CEO of Brand USA. Presented by the U.S. Travel Association, this award is the most revered accolade in the travel and tourism industry, celebrating transformative contributions that have shaped our field. Congratulations to Bill for his visionary leadership and dedication to Greater Miami and the global visitor industry.

Thanks, HistoryMiami Museum for being host to the #GMCVB LGBTQ+ Inclusivity course. This free training program aims to empower Greater Miami’s tourism industry with personalized ways to engage with LGBTQ+ customers. The exercise explored how preconceptions of gender and sexual orientation have shaped customer service practices. The session's goal was to encourage participants to challenge assumptions so that we can adopt new awareness and actions that create authentic and welcoming experiences for all visitors.

The #GMCVB’s convention sales and multicultural tourism & development teams showcased Greater Miami at the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals conference. During two GMCVB-hosted events, they connected with meeting planners from corporate, association and affinity-market sectors. #NCBMP

Nothing could be better this entire week for the #GMCVB than Miami-Dade County being host to the 25th #LatinGrammys and all the special partners, people and music that made this event so exceptional. Thanks American Airlines, Miami-Dade County, Univision, Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation, Miami Senior High School (Go Stingarees!), the Kimpton EPIC Hotel and a cast of thousands who all helped deliver experiences worthy of this multi-million-dollar economic impact epic event to our destination.
