One more domestic violence shelter is equipped to take in the pets of survivors after a visit from Greater Good Charities' Rescue Rebuild team and RedRover! In Baton Rouge, our teams spent a week at Iris Domestic Violence Center adding play yards, kennels, functional pet furniture, cat enrichment and more. There will now be 10 designated rooms with pet accommodations at the shelter! We're working toward the goal of making 25% of domestic violence shelters pet friendly by the end of 2025. Here's an update on Fred, a special pup who was adopted from our 10th Annual Clear The Shelters Good Flight by volunteer Ariana! ?? Fred has settled in beautifully to his new life and loving family in New Jersey. Ariana and her family also fostered Fred's littermates and have since found them loving homes too! In Pata Rat, Romania, local dogs survive on scraps—whatever can be spared from families who have little to begin with. But this autumn, that changed. Greater Good Charities sent nearly 34,000 lbs of dog food to TAC.social, who used this support to feed more than 1,200 dogs for weeks, and gave portions of the food to a dozen local rescue groups, allowing them to breathe easier. When the TAC.social van full of pet food pulled into one settlement, children gathered around, their eyes wide with excitement. Dogs got full bellies while a veterinarian examined puppies, treating wounds and giving vaccinations and flea treatments. The puppies, often thin from life on the streets, seemed to perk up at the attention and the scent of food meant just for them. For the children, it was a moment of wonder. Seeing their beloved pets receive care and nourishment stirred something special—a hope that life could be better, not just for them, but for the animals they loved. Beyond just feeding pets in need, this Greater Good Charities donation helped bring a community together. We couldn't do it without YOU! ?? #AmplifyTheGood

Jackson Galaxy and The Jackson Galaxy Project team came to Maryland last week to bring Cat Pawsitive 360 to Maryland SPCA! ?? Over a two-day workshop, we engaged and immersed local animal welfare representatives in a wide range of sheltering topics approached from a cat-centric point of view!
