Keeping North Dakota Open for Business
关于我们
The Greater North Dakota Chamber began as The Greater North Dakota Association (GNDA), which was founded in 1924 to attract tourists and settlers. As the state grew in population and as business and industry flourished, the GNDA’s mission changed to creating and advocating for an environment that helped businesses grow and expand. In 2004, the GNDA changed its name to the Greater North Dakota Chamber of Commerce, but its mission to create the strongest business climate in the nation did not change. Our organization continues to lead the way in business advocacy.

The highlight of today was our meeting with CEO and President?Arik Spencer of the Greater North Dakota Chamber, along with Vice President of Strategic Engagement, Amanda Remynse. ?? Saskatchewan and North Dakota have a lot in common—especially when it comes to agriculture, energy, and manufacturing. As Arik said, our economies don’t just complement each other; they are intertwined. ? We had an engaging discussion about the importance of keeping trade open and predictable. Our American friends in?the business community are aligned with us that tariffs?don’t just hurt one side of the border—they drive up costs, disrupt supply chains, and put jobs at risk in both countries. ? The Greater North Dakota Chamber shares our commitment to cooperation and collaboration through these challenging times and?exploring opportunities to support cross-border business in Saskatchewan and North Dakota.???

ND Legislative Session ... here's the numbers that we reported to our members on Monday. Bill Count:?1072 > House count:?648 > Senate count:?424 Active bills:?929 (141 have failed/withdrawn) GNDC tracking:?249 (roughly 24% of the total bills) Days left in the session:?57 (max) Bills signed into law/filed with Sec of State:?2 (Concurrent resolutions - 1 related to NDSU and the other related to legislative support) It's hard to tell the story of all the bills that we are juggling because the swath is wide. Our partners in the trade industry are there in the trenches with us when the issues touch their audience but more times than not, we see ourselves solo at the stand and getting loud and lonely on the issues that weaken our business climate.?Maybe it's time to showcase some commonalities? Check it out here.... https://lnkd.in/g6PrxdtK SPOILER ALERT: This picture wasn't taken today (or even this year) but we thought we all needed a reminder that the temps do go above freezing in our state and the snow will melt.

?? General Atomics Aeronautical Systems is leveling up!?? We are thrilled to congratulate General Atomics Aeronautical Systems on reaching the Cornerstone tier! As a global leader in unmanned aircraft systems, radar technology, and electro-optic solutions, GA-ASI plays a vital role in advancing aerospace innovation. Their presence in North Dakota strengthens our state’s position as a hub for cutting-edge technology and UAS operations. As David O'Neill from GA-ASI put it: "Wide open airspace, access to the technology we need for training, good tax environment, and a friendly political leadership made it a no-brainer for operations up here in North Dakota." At GNDC, we value the investment and innovation GA-ASI brings to our business community. Their work supports North Dakota’s economic growth and reinforces our state as a leader in UAS technology. Congratulations General Atomics Aeronautical Systems!??
