GNTE is a nonprofit program, offering tennis instruction and academic support free of charge to kids 7-18, in the Greater Newark, NJ area.
Research proves the powerful connection between sports participation and academic success. Tennis provides foundational skills that extend far beyond the court; resilience, problem solving, mastery, teamwork and self-reliance. For all participants, GNTE provides a foundation for lifelong love of tennis; creating a social community and fostering better health. For others, it is a pathway to competitive sports and team participation, and for the more dedicated and talented players, GNTE is an opportunity to seek college scholarships. Most importantly, GNTE puts all participants on a path for success—inspiring and modeling how to soar.

Cheers to a terrific 2025! 2024 was a record setting- 350+ kids enrolled, over 50 parents participating on court, an impactful educational program designed and led by Seton Hall's College of Human Development, a hugely successful fundraiser led by Rally for Tennis, 40+ new volunteers, and a wonderful crew of coaches! Wishing everyone a new year filled with long rallies, great drop shots, and lots of LOVE!

Organized by Newark Academy students, this fundraising event raised $62,000 to support young players and their families.
