With over 30 years in the hospitality industry, Amir Blattner is the General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Miami, leading all aspects of the hotel's operations. Amir began his journey in 1995 at Hyatt Regency Coral Gables and has since held leadership roles at multiple Hyatt properties across the U.S., earning numerous awards, including General Manager of the Year in 2018 with the Georgia Lodging & Hotel Association. A graduate of Florida International University and Nova Southeastern University, Amir is passionate about giving back to the community and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. We are proud to highlight our member Joe Louissaint, owner of Show Technology, who was recently featured in the Miami Herald article on how Miami’s tourism agency is supporting small Black-owned businesses in hospitality. Joe’s company, which produces events from corporate meetings to festivals, has faced challenges through the pandemic, but thanks to his participation in the Tourism Business Enhancement Program by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, he’s been able to expand his network and continue growing his business. Joe credits the program’s networking opportunities with helping him reach new clients across all 50 states and gain valuable insights into scaling his business for the future.
