February meeting: Thursday, Feb. 20 at Hilton Garden Inn Madison Downtown ? March meeting: Thursday, March 20 at Springhill Suites Madison ? April meeting: Thursday, April 17 at Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown Madison ? May meeting: Thursday, May 15 at Hotel Indigo Madison Meeting dates and locations are subject to change – keep an eye on our feed for updates. Plus, we’re planning to host additional events in the coming year.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we wanted to share a few things we’re thankful for as an association. ? We are grateful for the opportunity to represent so many wonderful hotel and lodging businesses in our community ? We’re thankful for having members who engage with us and actively work to improve the hospitality industry in the greater Madison area ? We are thankful for our relationships with other local and state organizations, like Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association, Destination Madison, Downtown Madison Inc. and Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce for their roles in supporting our communities and industry ? We’re grateful for the next generation of hospitality professionals who are currently learning which paths they would like to pursue. #gmhla #thanksgiving?

Each year, Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) tournaments help stimulate our local economy by bringing visitors to our hotels, restaurants and retail destinations. We want to congratulate Amy Supple for winning the Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association's Corporate Champion of the Year award, which recognizes dedication to the lodging industry in Wisconsin. Amy currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Edgewater Madison. Ten years ago, she spearheaded the redevelopment efforts that saved the property and currently balances its rich history with modern innovations to preserve traditions while introducing new ones. She has positioned The Edgewater as a major tourism asset for Madison and the surrounding region, earning national recognition and accolades from Historic Hotels of America, Condé Nast and Travel + Leisure. Under her leadership, The Edgewater has also become a partner to numerous charitable initiatives and a host to community events, which are all free and open to the public. Amy is a vital member of WHLA and Wisconsin Women in Lodging and an advocate for initiatives that empower women and promote legislative support for our industry. This one is well-deserved, Amy. We had a great time earlier this week at the Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association annual conference. We particularly enjoyed connecting with other hospitality professionals in the state and seeing our fellow?GMH&LA members. One of the highlights for us was keynote speaker Megan Kuiper's presentation on DREAMs and how they can help leaders build a better culture within their properties.
