?? It’s Housekeeping Appreciation Week! ?? What You Can Do As A Traveller ?? 1. If you feel that you have been genuinely cared for, than make sure to reward this with genuine appreciation. This can be a gift, positive review and/or gratuity. Genuine service comes from the heart and so does genuine appreciation! ?? 2. There is no exact amount to leave, but give what your heart tells you to. A little goes a long way. A few dollars per night is customary, but round up to increments of $5. ?? 3. Learn your housekeeper’s name if possible. To increase the likelihood of your housekeeper receiving your gratuity, place it in a sealed envelope along with your room number, dates of stay and housekeeper’s name (if you know it.) and leave with front desk management. 4. If you are a meeting planner, add housekeeping gratuity to the pay out if financially possible. ?? 5. Strip your room before you leave for departure. The mattress pad can stay on the bed & pillow protector on the pillows but all linen and terry can be placed together and trash collected to one spot. This goes a long way! Hope this helps, but if you can’t do any of the above a smile and a thank you is always welcomed.
