The Hispanic Development Fund is dedicated to improving the quality of life of Latino families in Greater Kansas City. HDF carries out this commitment by engaging the Latino community in philanthropy through grantmaking, scholarship support, and college advising. Since 1983, HDF has granted over $3 million to more than 50 Kansas City Latino-led and -serving nonprofit organizations and over $10 million in scholarships to 5,450 Latino students across the metro area. Last month, ahead of its upcoming opening, we coordinated a tour of the Children's Mercy Kansas City and Camber Mental Health (KVC Health Systems) Wellness Campus for Youth and Adults for our donors. The 72,700-square-foot facility features 48 pediatric and 24 adult beds, private courtyards, walking paths, activity spaces and more.
