We were thrilled to have a group of students from the PRSSA Chapter at The University of Texas at Arlington join us for our Headshots and Handshakes: A Joint Dallas and Fort Worth Get-together! It was incredible to network with and learn from one another as both newcomers and experts in the public relations industry. We are constantly inspired by the students who join us at our events. A few UTA PRSSA members spoke with us at the event, and here is what they had to say: “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to attend the Headshots & Handshakes event hosted by PRSA Dallas and PRSA Greater Fort Worth! It was incredibly encouraging to connect with seasoned communication professionals eager to support emerging leaders in the field. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with the DFW professional chapters of the Public Relations Society of America!” -Natalie Gavidia, The University of Texas at Arlington PRSSA President “Attending PRSA Dallas and PRSA Fort Worth’s Headshots and Handshakes event was an incredible opportunity to network in a professional setting. As a student, I truly value experiences like this as they build on my professional development beyond the classroom.” -Alyssa Ortega, The University of Texas at Arlington PRSSA Secretary “Headshots and Handshakes was a fantastic opportunity to learn about resources that can improve our university chapter and help us grow. Personally, it was inspiring to connect with professionals and PRSA chapters, gaining valuable advice on how to develop my skills and support others starting out in the PR world.
