This week, our company president had the privilege of being a Mystery Reader for a local 2nd-grade classroom. Sharing a holiday-themed story with these young learners was a wonderful way to spread a little cheer and inspire a love for reading. As a company, we believe in giving back to our community and fostering meaningful connections beyond the workplace. Opportunities like this remind us of the importance of investing in the next generation and supporting education in creative ways. We're thrilled to partner with Red Top Runners, Cobb County’s largest running club, as the co-sponsor of their coveted end-of-season sweatshirts! Each year, these sweatshirts are earned through commitment—club members who attend 75% of weekly runs receive theirs free. And this year, we're proud to have our GSM logo alongside this hard-earned emblem of dedication. At Great South Metals, we value being active neighbors, and there's no better way to show it than by supporting local athletes who make self-improvement and community their goals. Today, we had the honor of delivering lunch to our local fire station as part of Public Safety Appreciation Week. It's a small gesture of gratitude for the huge sacrifices these brave men and women make every day to keep our community safe, especially during times of crisis. With the recent hurricanes and severe weather events, we’re reminded of just how vital our first responders are. They run toward danger when others are running away, putting themselves on the front lines to protect lives and property. We thank you, not only for what you’ve done, but for what you continue to do—day in and day out. We appreciate you, and we stand with you.

This week our President had the pleasure of attending a luncheon hosted by Cobb Economic Development, where he had a great opportunity to reconnect with several local connections, including our friends at Iron Age Office and Town Center Community We were also approached by Kennesaw State University to explore more potential collaboration opportunities – a valuable connection as we continually look for ways to drive innovation in our industry. It’s exciting to see that these events create momentum quickly – the very next day, Kelsi from our team attended another Cobb Chamber event and met a key contact in local manufacturing at Win-Tech, Inc.. Building strong relationships within our community is a priority, and we're looking forward to what these new connections might bring!
