WE DID IT. ?? And we couldn't have done it without YOU! The Great River Greening community came together in an incredible show of support—surpassing our $20,000 goal and raising a total of $40,338 to restore and sustainably manage our natural landscapes and protect our vital water sources. Your contributions are helping to ensure a healthier, more resilient environment for future generations. With the generous match from Jim and Sue Edberg of West St. Paul, we raised a record-breaking $40,338. This accomplishment wouldn’t have been possible without each and every one of you. ?? Restoring healthy land and water across Minnesota.
关于我们
Great River Greening inspires, engages and leads local communities in conserving and caring for the land and water that enrich our lives. We create resilient landscapes, address biodiversity loss, and sequester and store carbon through community-based stewardship. Our work began in 1995 with a massive volunteer tree planting project in Saint Paul along the riverfront and West Side Flats. We have since engaged our communities in the restoration of approximately 45,000 acres at nearly 400 sites throughout Minnesota. Great River Greening’s team has expertise in ecosystem management, environmental stewardship, and community-building. To achieve our vision of healthy, climate change resilient ecosystems throughout Minnesota, we center our work on projects that will build and preserve healthy, adaptive habitats that can withstand the effects of climate change.

Six percent of Minnesota is covered by water—more than any other state! This includes lakes, rivers, streams and wetlands! Great River Greening is dedicated to protecting and restoring these vital water resources. Here’s how we’re making an impact: We’ve partnered with the City of Carver to restore nearly a third of a mile of Carver Creek. By reestablishing natural bends and planting native vegetation, we’re reducing erosion and soil runoff into the Minnesota River. This restoration will improve the creek’s health and contribute to a future park—leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come. Support our work work by making a gift TODAY: https://loom.ly/UPYWq5k ?? Amplify Your Impact: Help us raise $20,000 on Give to the Max Day, and turn it into $40,000 with an extra special matching opportunity from Jim and Sue Edberg of West St. Paul. ??: Becca Tucker #GreatRiverGreening #GiveToTheMaxDay #GTMD24 #WaterConservation #CarverCreekRestoration #MinnesotaRiver #EcologicalRestoration #NativePlants #ProtectOurWater #SustainableMinnesota l #CleanWaterForAll

I'm pulling out all the stops to help raise funds for Great River Greening during Give to the Max (https://lnkd.in/gaJ9b7Tr). I'm showing you young Kateri with a turtle! I grew up in Iowa and my family and I spent a lot of time in nature, hiking, camping, and finding treasures (like this turtle). My kids are growing up in Minnesota, and we've got the beautiful Mississippi River right here in our city (please enjoy my son's face on this recent family hike)! I want to do everything in my power to ensure my kids can enjoy the stunning green spaces in Minnesota with their own families in the future. I'm supporting Greening with my dollars to support clean water, biodiversity, nature-based climate solutions, and ensuring EVERYONE has access to resilient green spaces throughout our whole state. Please join me! https://lnkd.in/gaJ9b7Tr

Help us provide a legacy of clean and fresh water for generations to come! ?? DONATE TODAY (https://loom.ly/YSr1G2I) At Seven Mile Creek in Southern Minnesota, our conservation efforts—ranging from erosion control to cover crops to rain gardens—have significantly improved water and habitat quality, enabling the return of the Brown Trout. Seven Mile Creek drains water from 24,000 acres of prime farmland in Nicollet County, flowing through a popular county park before emptying into the Minnesota River just upstream of Saint Peter. By supporting nature-based climate solutions, YOU can make a real difference today! ? Amplify your impact! Help us reach our $20,000 goal and double your impact with matching funds, turning it into $40,000! #GreatRiverGreening #GiveToTheMaxDay #GTMD24 #MatchingGifts #ResilientLandscapes #Biodiversity #WaterQuality
