The Liberty Road Fa?ade Improvement Grant Program offers grants to small business owners and commercial property owners along the Liberty Road Commercial Corridor, extending from the City-County line to Pikeswood Drive, to enhance the appearance of businesses and shopping. Awarded grants may range from a minimum of $10,000 up to $50,000; GRCDO reserves the right to increase funding at its discretion for exceptional projects. Applications will be accepted until Friday, February 28, 2025. We’re excited to introduce our Board Member, Cedric Tucker! ?? A proud resident of the Villa Nova community for 30 years, Cedric and his wife are raising their twin girls in the place they call home. With deep roots in the area, he is passionate about building stronger, more connected neighborhoods. As the CEO of Building Communities Today for Tomorrow Inc., Cedric leads a community-based organization dedicated to providing support through residential treatment and community programs. With 28 years of experience in small business development and as a Certified Behavioral Crisis Prevention Instructor, he brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to our board. In addition to his work, Cedric serves as a board member for East Coast Power Prep Football and is an active member of the Mercy High School Fathers Club. When he’s not working or volunteering, he enjoys cooking, playing chess, and spending quality time with his family. The owner and chief operator of five Island Quizine restaurants, IQ Bar and Grill, and a catering business in Baltimore, Donovan has made a name for himself in the restaurant industry through hard work, passion, and a commitment to excellence. He’s not only created thriving businesses but also fostered team spirit and a sense of family in his workplaces, opening doors for employment and growth. Beyond his entrepreneurial success, Donovan is a dedicated community service activist, championing minority and small businesses to help them grow and thrive. His contributions extend to feeding the homeless in Baltimore City, supporting community churches, and partnering with substance abuse facilities to uplift those in need. He also invests in future generations by partnering with local schools, including Windsor Mill Middle, Randallstown High, and Owings Mills High, to provide sporting gear, uniforms, meals, and sponsorships.
