Over the last couple of years I have had the privilege of getting to know Terry Dunlap, the former founder and CEO of ReFirm Labs. ReFirm Labs was one of the first companies focused on the firmware analysis problem in a real productized way. I remember being maybe 6 months into NetRise and reaching out to him to get some advice on a few topics and Terry getting back to me immediately and helping me see around some corners. I immediately knew that Terry was my kinda guy and we stayed in touch over the years. Even after Terry sold ReFirm Labs to Microsoft, he would make introductions for me and look at the latest version of the product and give feedback on various facets of the business. It became clear to me that having Terry be more involved in the day to day would be incredibly beneficial. This year at DEF CON, we caught up and Terry mentioned he had the itch to get back in the game while still operating Gray Hat Academy. Today I am absolutely thrilled to announce that Terry Dunlap has joined NetRise as our Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Development. In this role Terry will continue to help me see around corners, help lead our federal government business unit and support the expansion of our product and company vision to provide unparalleled visibility and risk identification to not just firmware and embedded operating systems, but all compiled code, at runtime and at rest. Welcome aboard Terry, you have already made a huge impact on the business and on me and I can't wait to see what else we can do together.
