Employee Spotlight: Steve Chambers – Senior Project Manager at Gratacon ? Some people just get it. They walk into a room, assess a challenge, and know exactly how to bring the right people together to make things happen. That’s Steve Chambers. ? Steve’s been in the construction world for nearly 20 years, tackling high-stakes, high-impact projects—stadium renovations, airport expansions, and hospitality builds. The kind of work where there’s no room for error and leadership matters. Steve's track record proves he knows how to lead, problem-solve, and get things done right. ? What really makes Steve stand out is the way he works with people. He’s the kind of guy who builds strong partnerships, keeps teams moving forward, and brings a level of precision that makes a difference. We talk a lot about being Second-to-None—and Steve is the kind of guy who lives it. When asked why he joined the Gratacon Team, he said, "I really enjoy and thrive working with a small group of close and like-minded individuals. It allows for communication to flow easily and leads the way to efficient and effective problem-solving. That is what really sets working here at Gratacon apart... we aren’t just showing up for a job, we are showing up for something that is fun, enjoyable, and rewarding to do." When not at work, Steve is rarely still. He is fly fishing, gardening, hiking, woodworking, hunting, beekeeping, salsa-making, whiskey tasting, in the mountains, on the river, or pretty much anywhere but the couch. We’re lucky to have him on the team! #Gratacon #BuildWithPurpose #FosteringExcellence #ConstructionLeadership #ProjectManagement #SecondToNone

??Congratulations to Firefly Autism Board Member, Jessica Ostoyich, on receiving Great Day Colorado’s Do-Gooder Award!?? Jessica’s dedication and passion for our mission have made a profound impact over the past 10 years. As the CEO of Gratacon, she has not only led with excellence in her field but has also been a model volunteer and advocate for Firefly Autism. As an active member of our Board of Directors and Development Committee, Jess has provided immeasurable leadership, insight, and time—helping to coordinate multiple construction projects, including our new indoor sensory gym and the Path to Success, a beautiful brick pathway in our outdoor sensory garden. She has also been a key partner in fostering charitable relationships that support Firefly’s essential work. In her own words: "Volunteering at Firefly came as an opportunity through work 10 years ago and then grew into a passion to serve and share my gifts with the folks at Firefly. We are truly grateful for our partnership with Gracon LLC and the opportunity to witness what servant leadership and building with a purpose really looks like. #PurposeBuilt #HomesOfHope #PartnershipElevated #GratitudeInAction
Last week I had the opportunity to travel to Mexico with several members of the Gracon LLC team to build a home for an awesome family through Youth With A Mission’s Homes of Hope program. This is truly an experience I will cherish for several reasons. 1) Experiencing with true joy and gratitude looks like coming from a beautiful family who for the first time has a house to call home, will forever be imprinted on my heart. 2) Building a house in 2 days IS POSSIBLE - I had my doubts! YWAM is one of the most well organized and passionate groups who takes random groups of people of all abilities, and teaches them, guides them, and instills confidence in them to achieve success. Elevating others and servant leadership at its peak. 3) Committing to a 4-hour volunteer project as a team is a great team building opportunity, but committing to a 4-day foreign country volunteer opportunity is a whole other level of team building, bonding and commitment. 4) A reminder from scripture that "Where your heart is, there too your treasure will be". I am grateful for my business partners at Gracon LLC who share the values of stewardship and purpose. Committing to sending 25 team members on a 4-day mission trip every year for the last 10 years, is putting your values on display. Thank you Derek Dykstra and Scott Lynn for leading by example. #PurposeBuilt #GratitudeInAction #AlignedValues
