Graspable Math

We are a diverse team of developers, educators and researchers who work to make learning algebra more effective and fun. Our technology Graspable Math (GM), a digital, gesture-based algebra notation was developed based on cognitive science and learning sciences research and was shown to impact learning in RCT classroom studies. In GM, math symbols are not static scribbles on paper, but tangible objects that students can click and drag to transform mathematical expressions. This new access to mathematics help reduce student anxiety and promotes discovering the concepts behind algebra.
