With each comic we pair a podcast. Then Ted Stearns cuts it up into bite sized clips for all of our short attention spans to consume. If you're interested in a deeper dive into the topic that coincides with the latest episode, check out the full podcast. We usually have a couple more ridiculous true sales stories to share and tips too, like this one.
Trade shows aren’t just about showing up—they’re about making the numbers work. Before sending reps, treat the event like a prospecting funnel. Determine: - How many attendees? - How many will likely pass by? (Previous data helps.) - How many conversations do you need? - What’s the conversion rate to a real pipeline opportunity? Why does this matter? 1. Motivate your team – If reps need to talk to 40 people a day, they’ll be more intentional with their questions. They’ll waste less time. 2. Plan your pre-outreach – If walk-by traffic won’t cut it, pre-book meetings. 3. Decide if the event is even worth it – If the math doesn’t work, skip it. Before investing in a trade show, do the math. The numbers don’t lie.
