GA received approvals from the Greenwich Architectural Review Committee last week for the addition/renovation at 38 Field Point Road.?The former Lutheran Church is being converted to the Chabad of Greenwich.?The Midcentury Modern structure, built in 1957 will be completely restored as a Synagogue, while the north/south wings will be demolished and re-built as community spaces, classrooms and support facilities for the growing congregation.?The wall above the ark is designed with varying patterns of channel glass.?Construction will begin this fall, with completion late next year.
