Our latest employee spotlight shines on Jamie Moore! Jamie has been with Granite Recovery’s New Freedom Academy since the spring of 2020. Jamie has held many roles with us, but she shines as Recovery Case Manager. Jamie took to the role of Recovery Case Manager naturally and goes above and beyond for our clients. Her dedication, compassion and a strong desire to help others are shown in her work. Jamie is always willing to help any department when needed without question or hesitation. She is able to connect with families to make them feel comfortable and a part of their loved ones' recovery process. Jamie makes an impact on the lives of everyone around her and we appreciate her more than she could ever know. When asked what she loves about work at New Freedom Academy, Jamie says “The reason I come to work is for the clients. Relating to them and helping them fix their lives is why I love what I do.” Thank you Jamie! You’re making a difference in such a meaningful way!

Excellent and thoughtful tribute by Granite Recovery Centers Alumni. Well done. ————— Yesterday we had a ribbon cutting ceremony for Thigpen's Labyrinth. We got to pay homage to our dear friend and mentor and cement a perminant fixture for him at GMTC. The ribbon cutting was an opportunity for those who came before, and knew Chris to introduce our current clients to Chris's legacy. Walking through the intricate pathway silently, you will find yourself in the center with a bench for meditation and prayer. This Bench is engraved in the memory of Chris Thigpen, a pioneer of GMTC. Chris's Leadership shaped GMTC in those formative years, and lives on today. We tragically lost Chris in an accident this year, and the Labyrinth is a way for all to remember him. Chris now has permanent physical structure on the grounds, as his spirit will live on here forever. Through all of us. "Chop wood, carry water." Is a Zen Buddhist saying. Commit to the process The saying emphasizes the importance of committing to and thriving during the process of any pursuit. The saying suggests that if you work towards something, the journey itself can be rewarding.

Our latest employee spotlight shines on Recovery Case Management Supervisor Colleen Tremblay! Colleen is Granite Recovery Centers alum and joined the team at New Freedom Academy in December of 2019. She has seen the program through a multitude of changes, most recently the transition from primary substance use treatment to primary mental health treatment in July of 2023. Colleen's compassion and commitment to serving others are unmatched by anybody. Our clients and their families are lucky to have somebody as dedicated to helping others as Colleen. When asked what she loves about NFA-C, Colleen says simply "I love the clients, and I love the people I work with. I honestly enjoy coming to work. It doesn't feel like work." Thank you Colleen! We’re lucky to have you on our team!

Our latest employee spotlight shines on Behavior Health Technician Lisa Richardson! The staff at New Freedom Academy Canterbury certainly take pride in their work, but nobody takes more pride than Lisa. Lisa is an NFA-C alum and joined the team in May of 2023. Her compassion and commitment to client care set her apart as a truly exceptional employee. She is dependable, reliable, and most importantly, she cares, and that is evident in her interactions with our clients and her team-first attitude. When asked what she loves about the work she does here, Lisa says "I feel immense pride when the people I consider my work family positively impact the life of somebody who is struggling." We are so lucky to have Lisa! Thank you for all you do!

Why is Greg Stacey the focus of our employee spotlight? Well let the clinician sum it up in his own words. “Green Mountain Treatment Center has proven a great opportunity for me to hone in my desire, intent, and ambition to provide services to others with humility and grace. It's been a great place to connect and engage with others in the field while learning alternative views and ways of providing services for Treatment." Greg takes his time with a focus on his caseload and supports by treating them with compassion and dedication to help them get well. He recently celebrated his 4-year anniversary with GMTC! In his off time a favorite activity is fishing with his son. Thank you Greg, for all you do.
