We’re excited to share that Michael Dardick, Granite’s Executive Chairman, has won the NAIOP NTX Lonestar Achievement Award! Michael co-founded Granite in 1991 and served as our CEO through 2023. Under his leadership, Granite developed some of the highest quality office and mixed-use projects in the country. As a leader, Michael is very team-oriented. Success to him means that all our team members, customers, partners and the community are thriving, or as we say at Granite, flourishing. Michael has also made a major impact on the commercial real estate industry through leadership roles at commercial real estate organizations such as NAIOP NTX. He cares deeply about the health of our surrounding community and is an active board member of Children's Health System of Texas and the Communities Foundation of Texas. Granite’s Director of Development, Aaron Bidne, spoke at The Real Estate Council (TREC) Young Guns Forum about the rise of Uptown Dallas. He shared his experience developing 23Springs, a 626,215 SF Class-AA office development with two separate restaurant buildings and a park located at the corner of Maple Avenue and Cedar Springs Road. With a walk score of 91, 23Springs will be a new focal point for office customers, the surrounding community, and the city at large. 23Springs is owned by Granite and Highwoods Properties. The students, who were on their annual tour of DFW-based real estate companies, explored Granite Park 6, our latest addition to Granite Park in Plano. 23Springs has topped out! The iconic, Class-AA, 26-story office tower and two separate restaurant buildings in Uptown Dallas are 60 percent leased and will be delivered in March 2025. Customers will enjoy a high-end fitness center, customer lounge and golf simulator, outdoor work and meeting space, and a coffee bar.
