They collaborated to launch the inaugural Suicide Prevention Week for the industry — a week dedicated to raising awareness about the higher-than-average number of suicides in the construction industry, and to providing resources to help prevent those deaths." ... "The construction industry has the second highest rate of suicide in the United States at 53.3 per 100,000 workers according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC)." ... Together, we can save lives. Spartans are bridging into fall semester at Michigan State University with completion of the Farm Lane Bridge renovations! “Reconstructing the Farm Lane Bridge was vital to ensuring the safety of Spartans,” said MSU’s Infrastructure Planning and Facilities (IPF) vice president Dan Bollman in a recent feature article by MSU Infrastructure Planning and Facilities. “We needed to act now before further deterioration resulted in unplanned closures and more costly work.” Read more about this project and the rich history of this vital campus landmark at https://lnkd.in/gkv5VadD We are honored to have partnered with Fishbeck and C.A. Back-to-school season has arrived and Granger teams are partnering with their local communities to support students! - Thanks to the generosity of individuals across our Indiana, Michigan and Ohio teams, we exceeded our goal and donated a total of 66 backpacks to Volunteers of America for this year’s Operation Backpack? initiative. - Our Columbus, Ohio office volunteered at People In Need, Inc. of Delaware County, Ohio supporting their back-to-school efforts with a peanut butter, cereal and school supplies drive. - The Build Westville team in Indiana challenged each other to raise donations in support of MSD of New Durham Township. The goal was to provide school supplies for students while also alleviating the burden many teachers face of providing supplies out of their own pocket. Individuals raised just over $1,500 in donations, which was matched by Build Westville to deliver about $3,000 worth of school and office supplies to the school district. Thank you to all our team members and partners for your generosity and care in supporting students and educators near you! Wishing everyone a safe and supported return to school this fall!
