Grand Park is thrilled to announce that NXTsports' The Grail and Mid-America Invitational and Bullpen Tournaments’ ABC Championship Series have been named recipients of the Sports Destination Management's 2024 Champions of Economic Impact in Sports Tourism. Grand Park proudly hosted both of these prestigious events. Champions of Economic Impact are selected by evaluating spectator fees, hotel room usage, restaurant business, and visitor spending during the time of the sporting event. This recognition highlights these events' substantial growth and economic contributions to the community. “Grand Park is honored to host a variety of exceptional events each year, working with our outstanding partners and event organizers to create a great experience for athletes and spectators,” said Grand Park Sports Campus Director Matthew Trnian. “The Grail and Mid-America Invitational and the ABC Championship Series are two outstanding events that have both demonstrated the positive economic impact our facility has on the community. We, alongside our partners, are proud to be acknowledged for this contribution.”

Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana welcomes nearly 1.5 million visitors annually; making it a destination like no other. Grand Park’s impressive lineup of playing space and amenities make it an ideal tournament and event host site. Grand Park Sports Campus is a 400-acre championship-level facility. The campus features 31 multi-purpose fields (soccer, football, rugby, field hockey and lacrosse) along with 26 baseball and softball diamonds. The centerpiece of the campus is the Grand Park Events Center, which boasts an additional 370,000 square feet. This indoor facility features three full-size professional turf fields, mezzanine concourse for spectator viewing, meeting rooms, food and beverage service, NinjaZone, and the Methodist Sports Medicine clinic. Grand Park Village is in the development and design stage, but will serve as an adjacent 220-acre development designed for lakeside dining, retail, and entertainment all along a pedestrian-friendly boardwalk. We are proud to have the opportunity to work with and support the Indianapolis Colts and their commitment to the community!
With the conclusion of our 2024 Training Camp, we are proud to announce that $75,000 was raised from ticket sales and will be donated to the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis! These proceeds will benefit their new flag football program, continuing the mission of making the game accessible to all. With leagues at 10 locations, the proceeds will benefit their program for this year and years to come.

The Grand Park Sports Campus enjoyed hosting 150 Hamilton Heights middle schoolers yesterday for a career focused field trip! The team shared their passion for sports and how many various career paths there are when it comes to sports! Thank you Jill Doyle for the connection to Connor James and the HHMS 6th grade class!

Grand Park Sports Campus is led by some of the most hospitable and caring people you will meet. Honestly, I think they are a hospitality organization that runs a sports complex. Matthew Trnian , Rachel Nelson, Steve, Sean, and Ryan were so generous with their time today as they shared their career journeys with HHMS 6th graders. They even got the students moving and ran them through some activities. They encouraged students and helped them see that careers in sport don't require you to become a professional athlete. They REALLY cared about helping students see what was possible. You could feel it in their interactions with them. I cannot thank Matt and his team enough. They impacted our students in a deep and meaningful way today. Thank you! #careerexposure

Get to know one of our Advisory Board members: Matthew Trnian! Matt is the Director at Grand Park Sports Campus. He began his career at Grand Park Sports Campus in 2014 as a college intern. Over the past ten years, he has gone from cleaning golf carts to overseeing and managing the 400-acre sports campus. He has dedicated his career into ensuring that Grand Park is maintained to the highest standards. His Sports Management degree from Kent State University, along with his tenured experience has allowed him to lead Grand Park successfully into its 10th year. We are excited to have you on board!
