Giving Tuesday is a week away—a day when we can make a global impact through the care we give to each individual and community. When people show up at our doors, ready for help, it’s often with just the clothes on their backs. The road to mental wellness and recovery often begins with fulfilling basic human needs, which aren’t always easy to come by during the winter season. At this time, our clinics are seeing an increased need for the following items to distribute during the winter season: - Coats/Jackets - Men's underwear and socks - Beanies, gloves, and hand warmers - Blankets (regular and emergency kind) - Hygiene kits (sanitary napkins, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, deodorant, etc.) - Dog food If you'd like to help us help our community on, or after, Giving Tuesday, please consider reaching out to your nearest GRAND Mental Health clinic to make your contribution. Josh Cantwell Named Chief Executive Officer of GRAND Mental Health. We are excited to announce Josh Cantwell as our new Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Cantwell is a 20-year veteran of GRAND, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer for the agency. “It is my honor to serve as CEO at GRAND Mental Health and bring a new vision to life for our agency.” Said Josh Cantwell, “I am committed to expanding our collaboration within the non-profit community, and work hand-in-hand with community leaders, partners and providers. Our mission and purpose to improve the quality of life for consumers, communities and each other across Northeastern and Northcentral Oklahoma remains steadfast.” Cantwell brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, having joined GRAND in 2004, and risen to his most recent role as chief operating officer. As COO, Josh guided the day-to-day operations of GRAND Mental Health’s 31 locations in 13 Oklahoma counties. He has been instrumental in the creation of unbridled access to care for individuals in need of mental health services and led GRAND’s successful rebranding efforts. Both a licensed clinical social worker and certified peer recovery support specialist, Cantwell holds a master’s degree in business from Rogers State University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Oklahoma. He is well positioned to lead GRAND’s future growth and continued mission to improve the lives for those they serve. Please join us in appreciating Josh as our new CEO!

In partnership with Families Helping Families, Lisa Brashear visits our GRAND Mental Health Addiction Recovery Center in Tulsa every holiday season to install an Overdose Awareness Christmas Tree. The idea is for moms and families who have lost their own loved ones to help inspire GRAND ARC residents to keep going in their recovery journey. Each ornament has the name of a loved one who died from an overdose. There are a total of 320 ornaments on the tree, with 67 being added just d this year. Lisa and other moms want to be there for those struggling to avoid more ornaments and lives lost moving forward. For those struggling, the holidays can be hard. We can help you cope.
