Recently, we joined forces?with the Meridian Criminal Justice Program to help prepare high school students for a career in law enforcement. Our Crisis Services team discussed the mental health signs and challenges they might face while on the job, stigmas?to be mindful of, and how to care for their own mental health along the way. Thanks to partnerships like this, we can work together to help youth confidently step forward into the responsibilities of serving our communities. #criminaljustice #communitypartnership #community #mentalhealthsupport #care

We're grateful for the coverage by News on 6 raising awareness -and sharing progress – in the fight to end overdose. According to the CDC, overdose deaths declined 24% nationally from 2023–2024. Our Tulsa Chief Clinical Officer, Kimberly Hill-Crowell, credits access to care, state/community partnerships, and the breaking of historic stigmas as key contributors to the positive momentum forward, but warns we still have far to go. When it comes to leading change and advancing care, it's important to acknowledge the people who paved the way to advancing mental health. That's why we're celebrating the trailblazers who made history by breaking history, and shattered ceilings on mental health advances from communities of color. Today, we're honoring Bebe Moore Campbell. Bebe was an accomplished, literary trailblazer whose work led to the creation of Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. She worked to recognize underserved communities' mental health challenges, advocated for inclusive resources, and raised awareness. We're grateful for all Bebe Moore Campbell has done to contribute to and improve mental health awareness in underserved communities. #mentalhealth #blackhistorymonth #pioneersinmentalhealth #BlackLeaders #changemakers
