The lovely folks at Producersalon in Copenhagen asked us to give a talk on company branding in the film industry. It was hosted at Nordisk Film, the oldest currently active film studio in the world. Producersalon is a networking initiative for Danish film producers, working across feature film, television, and animation. It encompasses a range from the newest generation of producers to seasoned professionals, and from startups to established production companies. We discussed our creative process, the unique challenges in developing brands for film companies, the role of branding in film, and how to resonate with both creative talent and their audiences. It was also an opportunity for us to look back at our growing portfolio of work with film companies, starting with A24 in 2012. We don’t talk much about awards, but it’s been fun to reflect on the numerous Academy Award and Emmy Award winning companies that now feature GrandArmy brand identities. Thanks again to Producersalon (producersalon.dk) for having us at Salon 1, the first meeting of the year.
