While speaking at the Grand Farm 2024 Space Agriculture Conference, our founder Christopher Smithson spoke about the vision that drives us, the mission that leads us, and the future that compels us. Research and development in Space Agriculture grows over time. We are working on a timescale of months for missions that will last years. Thank you to CSM Robotics and Dave Neville for emphasizing how important #Robotics are to #SpaceAgriculture. When sending a crewed mission to the Moon or Mars, it is critical that the crops are already growing and will reasonably continue to grow. Growth requires infrastructure. Having a #CanAmSpaceport to get there and a #NASALunarGateway to coordinate missions is also invaluable. It was wonderful to see so many complimentary efforts all pointing toward an optimistic future. If you would like to support that optimistic future, we are open to collaborations and investments. Research is expensive. Earth is priceless. Let's go explore the solar system together.

Last week, Grand Farm brought together over 300 students from 4th through 12th grade, representing 13 schools across #NorthDakota and #Minnesota, for two exciting events— #Casselton #Education #Day and #SpaceConnect. These diverse groups of students explored hands-on workshops and inspiring career opportunities in #agriculture, #technology and #space, helping to shape the future of #AgTech! I am extremely grateful for the #schools, #teachers, #busdrivers, #workshophosts, #volunteers, and #sponsors who played a critical role in making these events happen! My favorite moments included seeing both students and their teachers #engaged, #excited, and #curious. I was happy to conclude the events by mentioning that: SKY IS NO LONGER A LIMIT!!! Feeling optimistic about the future of our youth—#education is truly planting the seeds of tomorrow’s innovations, and I’m excited to see how these bright minds will help us grow into the future! When we were launching The University of Georgia Grand Farm, we knew that it lived and died by strong local leadership. We needed somebody who could walk the walk, talk the talk, has a deep understanding of Georgia agriculture and is passionate about bringing people together to solve problems in agriculture. We made the right decision by bringing on Kaytlyn Cobb as the Regional Assistant Director for UGA Grand Farm.
