It’s #MeetTheTeamMonday and today we'd like to introduce one of our Superintendents, Emile Bienvenue. Emile has been part of the Gramercy team since June, and it’s been a fantastic experience working with him. Originally from Canada, Emile moved to New York after falling in love with his now wife, Morgan. The two met while she was on a business trip, maintained a long-distance relationship for two years, and eventually tied the knot. They’ve now been happily married for six years and share their home with a small dog named Estelle. ? Emile’s passion for construction stems from his father’s influence. He started working alongside his dad at just 11 years old, with one of his first projects being framing a house. This early exposure sparked his interest in the field and led him to pursue Carpentry at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. He later continued his education at Olds College. ? As the oldest of six siblings, Emile values teamwork and community. In his free time, he enjoys going to the beach, seeing Broadway shows, rock climbing, and hiking. What Emile loves most about his job is the variety—it’s never the same day twice. He thrives on thinking on his feet and adapting quickly to changes, as things can shift at a moment’s notice. ? Emile’s advice to newcomers in the industry is simple yet profound: “Always listen to the people around you. That’s where you’ll learn the most. It’s more about the people than the work because working together is how we make things happen.” Well said, Emile—a true team player! Thank you for being such an integral part of our team.
