Featured on Eater Seattle is The Shop by Porter in downtown Seattle in the article "Is It a Cafe or a Coworking Space? Yes. Remote work is here to stay, and a growing number of cafes and restaurants are catering to laptop warriors." https://lnkd.in/gZbYq3bA "Porter is a company that specializes in furniture and interior design for offices. Five years ago, the space that is now the Shop was the brand’s 'living showroom,' says Steph Monohan, the Shop’s beverage and events manager, but in 2019 the company decided to pivot to providing food, drinks, and retail shopping in an effort to build more connections with clients and the broader community. [...] 'All these buildings have this beautiful space, right? But it’s empty and kind of cold, nothing’s happening in it,' says Porter co-founder Kyle Haakenson. 'Our idea is to take these spaces designed for for work, and then add this element of service, hospitality, food and beverage.'" - Harry Cheadle Located at?2 + U?in downtown Seattle, The Shop by Porter is designed by GBA and built by?MRJ with?casework fabricated by?Creoworks. Gasworks Brewing on Lake Union designed by GBA is featured in The Seattle Times round-up of "5 new Seattle-area breweries and taprooms to try" https://lnkd.in/gWf-DKD5 "It’s a safe bet that Gasworks Brewing runs the most popular patio around the Sound. The brewery can hold 250 people in its beer garden, and on a recent sun-soaked Sunday, that still wasn’t enough seating. At least 30 customers stood with their beers, while others sipped and dipped their feet in Lake Union or bobbed on kayaks and paddleboards. The brewery boasts an enviable backyard that looks out at the blue lake and all the shining yachts and houseboats." - Tan Vinh, Seattle Times #grahambaba #gasworksbrewing #seattletimes #seattlebreweries

The Boylston Garage is featured by The Registry: https://lnkd.in/gpdB5cQx "Residents in Seattle’s Capitol Hill district soon will have access to one of the city’s most eclectic and inviting fitness clubs. Henry’s Gymnasium will occupy all three floors of the newly renovated Boylston Garage, located at 1617 Boylston Avenue and owned by Asana Partners [...] Led by Graham Baba Architects, the $6.2 million adaptive reuse project preserved much of the building’s original components and materials while upgrading and equipping the space. Still recognizable as part of Seattle’s original Pike/Pine Auto Row, today the Boylston Garage offers tons of natural light, exposed timber trusses, and some 18-foot ceilings alongside modern amenities and finishes." Blending Residential and the Workplace in Seattle | Featured by?Work Design Magazine, take a tour of Vitus, a revitalized a 1920s building that includes retail, office space and a penthouse with a waterfront view. https://lnkd.in/gJSxwwwg “The design approach focused on exposing the honesty of the wood and concrete structural materials and infusing art-gallery-like moments to showcase pieces of the owner’s art collection. Design restraint was of utmost importance to emphasize the existing character of the historic building and provide clarity in the interior environment.” Link in bio.
