Last year we published this GRADE Article to describe what basic GRADE is, when to state GRADE has been used and what makes articles about GRADE official. The article has received a lot of interest from GRADE users. Request for nomination of GRADE Guidance Group (GGG/G3) members by October7, 2024 Dear all, Two seats on the GRADE Guidance Group (GGG) are to be filled for a 6-year term in the fall of 2024.? We invite GRADE members to nominate or self-nominate members for participation in the GGG. The criteria for membership in the GGG previously are listed in the appendix below.? ? GRADE has a 2-step election process: After the nominations or self-nominations are received the GGG will vote on candidates for proceeding to the next phase. The GGG will then request a 300-word nomination package from the top five candidates to be prepared within one to two weeks and followed by a secret ballot of the remaining GGG members?once the nomination package is received. The GGG will provide brief instructions for the nomination package.? ? Appendix: Criteria for membership in the GRADE Guidance Group (GGG) Essential criteria Regular attendance at GRADE meetings Active participation in GRADE activities.? This could include any of the following (examples only): - active role in GRADE Working Group initiatives - active role in a current GRADE project group - leadership in a GRADE center or network Commitment both to prioritize participation in GRADE Guidance Group meetings (held approximately every four to six weeks) and?to set time aside to participate actively?in tasks of the GRADE Guidance Group ? Additional desirable criterion Leadership in an organization that uses GRADE ? The choice of members must ensure Maintenance of geographic diversity within the GGG Maintenance of more or less equal gender distribution in the GGG (two male members have rotated or are rotating off) ?

It not only summarizes existing official GRADE articles in practical ways providing sanctioned core principles but also provides information about new guidance and builds on the original GRADE Handbook that will be replaced iteratively over the next little while.
