By ensuring that kids 13 and under have access to age-appropriate materials, they ensure that children have access to materials that support their development, confidence, and ability to process emotions through artistic expression. Help the Fight Non-Profit – Teresa Richardson, Executive Director Committed to providing a hand up to those battling breast cancer, Help the Fight offers financial assistance for treatment and screening to individuals in Lancaster and surrounding counties. Their mission is to ensure that no one faces this fight alone by offering tangible, community-driven support. Gracie's House – Amy King, Founder Gracie’s House is creating safe spaces and opportunities for LGBTQ+ youth in rural areas through three core initiatives: awarding grants to open and sustain inclusive spaces, running PRIDE Camp and family retreats, and supporting arts and music workshops to amplify young voices. Their mission is to combat isolation and provide essential resources for LGBTQ+ youth and their families. We have three answers to this question. 1. Because we love camp, and camp was something that our founders both benefitted from in their lives. Gracie always said going to camp was a way to connect with herself. On a whole, nature is good for you. 2. We have experienced as a family how difficult it is to find a camp that has a non-gendered approach to camp life, and we are no strangers to waiting lists. In fact, we experienced aging out on a waiting list, which happens to a lot of youth waiting for a spot at a camp that makes them feel safe and seen. We didn’t want something as easy as going to camp to be so difficult just because of a camper’s gender identity. We wanted to make the search for a camp easier and we wanted to make the application process the same as it is for any other kid who wants to go to camp. 3. Found family is an important part of being in the LGBTQ+ community. At camp, you will meet friends for life, and this is what PRIDE Camp is all about.

??Breaking News: In a victory for transgender youth, their families, and their medical providers, a federal district court today issued a temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of a Trump administration executive order attempting to shut down access nationwide to gender-affirming medical care for transgender people under 19. The decision by Judge Brendan Hurson was issued from the bench with a written order to come soon. The nationwide restraining order prohibits federal agencies from conditioning or withholding federal funding based on the fact that a healthcare entity or health professional provides gender-affirming medical care to a patient under nineteen. ?? “Good and decent parents of transgender kids should never be in the frightening position of having their child’s prescribed, medically necessary care canceled at the whim and threat of a politician. But that’s exactly what President Trump’s executive order did to PFLAG families with trans youth and young adults nationwide. Today’s decision rights a grievous wrong to our nation's families and children, and PFLAG families will be vigilant to ensure our transgender loved ones receive the healthcare they need—as this legal ruling demands.” —Brian K. FOUND Family Camps are a big part of the Gracie’s House mission to provide safe spaces. Our spring and fall weekend retreats are a way to have fun with your family and meet other families like yours, essentially growing your found family and your support system. It’s a win-win.
