The Grace Outreach College Prep Meet & Greet! From building connections and sharing resources to inspiring goal-setting conversations. The big hit was our College Jeopardy game. It was a fun and interactive way to see what the women already know about college and the application process, while also learning more along the way - with plenty of laughs and friendly competition of course. We are so proud of these incredible women as they take steps towards their college dreams. Here's to bright futures ahead!

Grace Outreach College Prep Program held an information session with Ms. Julibeth Veras from the Adult Degree Program at Lehman College on Tuesday, October 29th. The Adult Degree Program helps adult students 25 years and older who did not earn their Bachelor’s degree. Students have an academic advisor tailored for adult students, day and evening office hours, flexible class schedule, same opportunity to earn their degree as other students but with extra help, and are also able to earn 15 credits for life or work experience or military service. This was a very helpful event for the students as they were able to learn about the next opportunities they have with lots of support services for them to succeed.

Ms. Peggy’s science class took a field trip to the Advisory Committee Community Garden, where students photographed the sex organs of flowers as part of their genetics unit. Ms. Peggy emphasized the importance of hands-on learning about flower reproduction, while Mr. Marty, the garden’s founder, called it an ‘open-air learning paradise’ and encouraged more frequent visits. ??
