Future #residents and our #Waitlist Members welcomed #spring yesterday by furthering their search for a #newchapter of #retirement—one filled with excitement, #connection and endless #possibilities! Our #crashcourse with #downsizing expert, #appraiser and #podcasthost Michael Ivankovich included #tips for effectively dealing with #personalproperty and exploring the many #livingoptions at one of our #continuingcare retirement communities. During his #seminar, “My Kids Don’t Want It—What Do I Do with My Stuff,” Mike offered targeted #strategies to sort and separate from material #assets, followed by a delectable #complementary lunch from our in-house #CulinaryTeam.

Today we recognize our wonderful #dietitians across both our continuing care #retirementcommunities in observation of #NationalDietitiansDay and #NationalNutritionMonth according to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Natalie Snyder (right) is our Corporate Dietician and Amanda McConnell (left) primarily serves The Community at Rockhill but accompanies and assists Natalie on Lutheran Community at Telford’s campus as needed. Every month, Natalie writes an article to be inserted into our residents’ #newsletter, featuring a food item and its #nutritionalbenefits, which is then sprinkled into some of our #Culinary selections throughout that month to help them find the best way(s) to incorporate it into their everyday #diet and foster continued #healthandwellness. ???? Was it just a coincidence that yesterday's #?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? happened to also fall on #FastnachtDay this year? ?? We think NOT! These guys quite literally keep our #community and #workplace in one piece — #HVAC & other utilities, new #equipmentinstalls, appliance #repairs and #renovations, grounds #upkeep, #holidaylights... you name it! (Some of the #team are not pictured here as they were elsewhere on #campus working hard at their job. ????) We couldn't be more proud of and #grateful for them, today and every day. They deserve to be #rewarded, so... Traditional PA Dutch Fastnachts (fried, potato-based #doughnuts originating in Germany) from Landis Supermarket have been complimentary for #Maintenance and ?????? of our #staff to indulge in this morning since 7AM—and going fast!??

A job well done! ???? Both our #continuingcare communities chipped in to #support the #local “Share the Love“ #FoodDrive, an initiative by RamPacks. This organization provides #nocost meals to #children experiencing #foodinsecurity in our greater community within the Pennridge School District. Each week, RamPacks fills #mealkits for hungry #students with #healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks for the weekend and #school holidays so they are able to come to school #readytolearn. This particular drive ran from February 10th through 26th and residents and staff on both our campuses #contributed food items from an approved list for #donation.

While the #windchill has our #RealFeel sitting at 13° today, Joe G. reached out to our #???????????????? team at Lutheran Community at Telford to #register for our Back 9 #Bootcamp — from the #SunshineState! This fit-nitiative will start within the next few weeks and serve as ongoing #training to get our resident #golfers ready for the #season. Here are Joe and his #grandson Will out on the #Florida green. (Hint: Check out the #MickeyMouse #sandtrap behind them!)
