Grace Creative is a women-owned advertising, branding, and creative agency that deeply understands how to reach the most empowered consumers in history: women over 50. Our team is made up of seasoned advertising talent who have created award-winning campaigns across industries from Fortune 500 companies to successful startups. Someone turns 50 every 7 seconds. Americans 50+, if counted as their own country would constitute the world's third largest economy. And 55% of them are women. These women make 85% of the purchasing decisions in their households. That’s not just a lot of groceries, paper products and cosmetics. It’s also a lot of electronics, healthcare, cars, entertainment, furnishings, travel, financial products and clothing. Recognizing the huge – and often undervalued – opportunity that midlife women represent to companies, we started Grace Creative, an advertising and marketing agency that understands how to connect with the most powerful consumer group in history. We believe: -There’s a reason that the Fortune 500 companies with the most female directors outperformed those with few or none - With only 3% of all creative directors at ad agencies being women, and even fewer than that being women in midlife, it’s unlikely that you’ll get advertising that actually speaks to women - The 50+ market will grow at 3Xs the rate of the 18-49 market over the next ten years, yet over 90% of midlife women say advertisers just don’t get them Women think differently, purchase differently and run things differently. That’s why we’re different. Grace Creative. Let’s talk.

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we are proud to highlight the remarkable achievements of one of our own team members at Grace Creative LA - Liz Tenan, a shining example of perseverance and creative passion. Liz’s journey as a writer and mother is truly inspiring. She emphasizes that "writing is hard. Writing with young kids is even harder!" Her project “THE DOT” was named the best TV Pilot in the Diversity Initiative by Where Hollywood Hides, while “THE REAL MCCOYS” was selected as a finalist in the Diverse Voices Lab by WeScreenplay. These accomplishments have culminated in “The Real McCoys” earning a coveted spot on Coverfly’s #TheRedList. What makes Liz’s success even more impressive is that she’s achieved all this while managing the demands of motherhood. "Now I go back to wiping butts and paying for daycare." At Grace Creative LA, we’re honored to celebrate Liz’s achievements and use her story as motivation for YOU to pursue your dreams. If you’re a parent balancing a creative career, share your story in the comments! Let’s build community and continue to recognize the incredible contributions of women like Liz Tenan!

No matter where you stand politically, it's clear that last few weeks have been incredibly turbulent with the US's role on the international stage rapidly changing. Unsurprisingly, women are nowhere to be found in most of these public-facing negotiations. That's despite hard evidence (thanks, UN!) that women's involvement in conflict increases the probability of a peace agreement lasting 15+ years by 35%. While we can't force the powers that be to invite women into the room where it happens, we can use the strength of our votes, our voices, and our dollars to do everything possible to wedge the door open for the ladies to bust in. Not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it's the most effective thing to do. Quote: Adam Grant

Innovators who are shattering the age conversation is the topic that was reported on in this week’s ROAR Report Bulletin. A round up of public service campaigns from around the world that take on ageism from agencies and advertising/brand leaders who were featured as the creators. While the UN, WHO, Singapore, Japan, UK, Australia, France and more have robust efforts, why is there so little being done in the US? AGE ANTHEM produced by Grace Creative LA Susan Lee Colby Lilly Yeatman is one of the rare efforts that addresses this important issue. Recognizing deep seated age discrimination especially in the workplace is something that affects everyone. Time for American organizations that can get the message out to step up. Turning the spotlight on "KT", Karen Thomas, who over the course of her career has demonstrated the power of staying true to who you are. Throughout her 13 years at ultra-luxury leader Seabourn Cruise Line she has championed inclusion and creativity as Senior Director of Brand Marketing and External Communications, and has just as steadfastly brought results.? KT's work defining the Seabourn brand is marked by groundbreaking campaigns that are joyful, aspirational and authentic to the 50+ consumer. This is what it looks like when Black women are given the opportunity to lend their experience and perspectives to the conversation. KT takes her power into action, leading with integrity, love, and dare we say it? Grace. We can't wait to see what's next!

February is American Heart Month—a powerful reminder for women 50+ to take charge of their heart health. The one-two punch of menopause and an ageist healthcare system puts women at greater risk for heart disease. Ageism alone drives?$63 billion?in unnecessary medical costs each year, with cardiovascular disease being one of the biggest culprits—delaying diagnoses, limiting treatment options, and impacting mental health. The good news? Heart disease is largely preventable. But only if you advocate for yourself. Ask for the tests. Push for the right treatments. Never stop asking?why.?Systemic change happens when we refuse to be overlooked. And if there’s one thing women 50+ know, it’s how to make themselves heard.

This Black History Month, we honor a powerhouse leader who is redefining what it means to age in America. Myechia Minter-Jordan, MD, MBA has spent her career breaking barriers, fighting for health equity, and making real change where it matters most. From leading CareQuest Institute and the Dimock Center—where she transformed healthcare access for Black and Brown communities—to now stepping into her role as CEO of AARP, she’s proving that experience, passion, and purpose only get stronger with time. Now, she’s taking that fight to the 50+ community, ensuring that aging isn’t about slowing down—it’s about rising up. More advocacy. More access. More power. Dr. Minter-Jordan, we can’t wait to see how you shape the future.

While her new show The Z Suite is getting mixed reviews, Lauren Graham's interview with Jenna and Friends is too fun not to share. The Z Suite banks on comedy ensuing from the generational collide, and trust us, we're happy to laugh at our own missteps just as much as those of the next gen. But when the exploration of generational divides only goes surface-deep and relies too heavily on cliche, it's hard to find the real humor in the situation. Part of what we've learned over the course of our careers is that knowing what you don't know is just as important as owning your experience. #TheZSuite

Great roundup, Terry Stanley! Thanks for including our very own Lilly Yeatman - it's always nice to be quoted.
We know what we thought of the #superbowl commercials, but what did ad mavens think? This is a variation on ADWEEK's long-running "jealous list," with some definite surprises from the creative community. Novartis, Nike and Mountain Dew, we expected to be crowd pleasers, even among the most discerning group. But the love for hims & hers, OpenAI and Squarespace were a bit more unexpected.
