Most organizations still have Basic deficiencies that they want to address. Build AI foundation Internal user focused, for straightforward AI use cases such as summarization, analysis, Basic automation & unstructured data processing. 2. Co-Pilots and Chabots* Customer and partner focused, Aligned to productivity, support, & collaboration, To automate processes & analyze more data with Gen AI. *Phase 1 for more service-focused AI deploys 3. And that's perhaps one of the Bigger challenge with the Hype around Gen-AI, Agents, Co-Pilots, And such. Apparently, Tech Vendors are in the business Of selling Technology, and often For the sake of Technology, And $$$. If you're on the receiving end Of this as a Technologist At a company. You owe it to your organization to Investigate, understand & Deeply get involved in How that AI tool is Going to turn out After go-live. Sadly, I come across many technologists Who are forced, or are eager to please Their management, and end up Buying into the marketing hype Instead of thoroughly Reviewing what's Under the hood & how well It works. 3 things I recommend to GPTfy Prospects and customers... 1. PoC it: Prove it out as quickly And with as little effort As possible. 2. Raise Awareness: Help your stakeholders Understand the value of AI & its limits, Beyond half-truths, fear, & ignorance. 3. Security First or Innovation First? As a technologist, I've often witnessed this dilemma in enterprise settings, especially regarding AI. Here's my controversial take: Making security the prerequisite for innovation conversations is Exactly how organizations unintentionally Kill transformation before it begins. The paradox? Security is absolutely critical (especially in regulated industries), But when it becomes the entry gate to even exploring possibilities, We've created a bureaucratic barrier that stifles progress. A more pragmatic approach: - Identify clear business problems AI could solve - Prototype with mock data in sandbox environments - Validate the concept with stakeholders - THEN implement appropriate security controls This isn't about bypassing security It's about sequencing properly. You can't effectively secure what you haven't defined yet. For regulated industries like healthcare and financial services, I understand compliance isn't optional.
