From the desk of a hiring manager, I've seen countless resumes cross my desk, but only a few truly stand out. What sets them apart? A careful balance of strategy, creativity, and attention to detail. Here are some DO's and DON'Ts to help you write a resume that gets noticed: ? DO: - Keep it clear and concise. - Tailor it to the job (I know it seems stressful, but it's worth it). - Use strong action verbs: Led, created, achieved, optimized. - Quantify achievements (You don't have to lie to do this). - Proofread! A typo can cause a misinterpretation. ? DON’T: - Use generic templates without customization. - List every job you’ve ever had - focus on what’s relevant. - Overload with buzzwords - show results instead. - Send without a compelling cover letter (if required). A resume isn’t just a document - it’s your ticket to the next big opportunity. Need help reviewing/revamping yours? Send a quick DM.

I’ve seen firsthand how some people work hard, but Ella? She creates magic. She has this rare gift, and she doesn’t just post on social media; she builds communities. She breathes life into creative ideas, turning them into compelling stories that captivate, engage, and drive results. And by results, I mean real impact. Emmanuella has transformed brand narratives into engaging content for 30% more audience engagement and crafts social media strategies that boost reach by 28%. She knows exactly what resonates with an audience, when to post, and how to spark engagement that matters. But beyond the numbers, Ella is one of the most hardworking and dedicated creatives I know. Give her an idea, and she’ll turn it into a masterpiece. Every single time. Dear connections, if you’re looking for a true creative powerhouse, someone who will bring fresh ideas, elevate your brand, and tell your story the right way, hire Emmanuella Roli Atsiangbe. Trust me, you want her on your team.

Networking at your fingertips
I help early to mid-career professionals and new immigrants gain clarity, access exclusive resources, and utilize practical strategies to confidently build successful careers in Canada.
Opportunities don’t always come from job boards, they come from people. The right conversation can open doors you didn’t even know existed. Yet, many approach networking the wrong way: "Can you get me a job?" - Feels transactional. Only reaching out when you need help can damage relationships. Instead, try this: ???Give before you ask. Share insights, support, or connections. ???Be genuinely curious. Ask about their journey, not just what they can do for you. ???Stay in touch. A quick check-in keeps relationships warm. Your next big opportunity? It’s likely one conversation away. Want to learn more about networking? I have something that can help. Send a DM!

TOP 5 MISTAKES THAT JOB SEEKERS MAKE Job hunting can be stressful, but small mistakes can make it even harder. If you're searching for a job, avoiding these common errors can improve your chances of landing the right opportunity. 1. Using a Generic Resume for Every Job Many job seekers send the same resume to multiple employers. However, recruiters want to see tailored resumes that highlight the skills relevant to their job posting. Always customize your resume to fit the job description. 2. Ignoring LinkedIn and Online Presence Recruiters often check LinkedIn and other platforms before calling candidates for interviews. A weak or outdated profile (or no profile at all) can be a red flag. Ensure your LinkedIn is professional, updated, and well-optimized. 3. Poor Interview Preparation Many candidates fail interviews because they don’t research the company or practice common interview questions. Preparation builds confidence. Research the company's mission, values, and recent news before your interview. 4. Not Following Up After Interviews Following up after an interview shows enthusiasm and professionalism. A simple thank-you email can keep you on the recruiter’s radar and increase your chances of getting hired. 5. Applying Without a Clear Strategy Some job seekers apply to multiple jobs without a plan, hoping something works. Instead, focus on quality over quantity. Understand the job market, network, and apply strategically. Avoid these mistakes, and you'll improve your chances of landing your dream job! At Gozie Consults, we help job seekers refine their resumes, improve their interview skills, LinkedIn optimization and secure better opportunities. Need help with your job search? Let’s work together!
