    Accounting, numbers, and such

    This rare post is about a transformative experience worth sharing with the CPG community focused on not uncomplicated processes of trade promotions.     #CPGindustry news, fresh off the presses ? Pressed Juicery has teamed up with skincare brand KORA Organics to release the limited edition 7-Day Turmeric Glow System. The new system features Pressed Juicery’s Turmeric Shots, known for their anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting benefits, alongside KORA Organics’ Turmeric Glow Foaming Cleanser and Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating Mask. Amy's Kitchen has introduced five new soups inspired by both international and American Southern classics: Pasta Fagioli, Dal Makhani, Vegetable Jambalaya, Gumbo Soup, and Three Bean Vegetable Chili. The new products are available at select grocery stores nationwide, including Albertsons Companies, Kroger, Safeway, Target, and Walmart. Little Sesame is seeking to get its products into little hands with the launch of Kids Hummus Cups. Kids Hummus Cups are available for $6.99 per 4-pack of 2.5 oz. cups at Whole Foods Market stores nationwide. Nothing Bundt Cakes has named Joel Larkin chief development officer. In his new role, Larkin will help the company open its 1,000th bakery by 2027. He also will be responsible for identifying and supporting new franchise partners while “enhancing resources” for existing partners. Keychain, the manufacturing platform for the packaged goods industry, has raised $15 million in Series A funding led by BoxGroup. New investors included General Mills’ venture capital arm 301 INC and Schreiber while existing investors included Lightspeed Venture Partners and SV Angel. Nestlé is investing $150 million to expand its frozen food facility in Gaffney, SC. The expansion will include the addition of a new line for the production of single-serve frozen meals as well as enhanced automation and digital technology. Danone increased its offer to buy the remaining stock it doesn’t already own in kefir products maker Lifeway Foods, Inc. to about $307 million. Danone initially offered to pay roughly $283 million, or?$25 a share in September. Danone currently owns 23.3% of Lifeway’s common shares. Bonne Maman is entering a new wheelhouse with a foray into the baked goods category,?launching ready-to-bake pie fillings?in three varieties: Apple, Blueberry and Cherry. Andros Foods North America

    Happy Wednesday! Let's catch up on the latest happenings in the #cpgindustry from the past week: Molson Coors Beverage Company has acquired a majority stake in energy drink brand ZOA Energy in a $53 million cash transaction, expanding its growing non-alcoholic beyond beer portfolio and adding to rising M&A interest across the energy space. The Hershey Company Company has acquired sour candy brand Sour Strips, expanding the snacking and confectionery giant’s growing sweets portfolio. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Peanut butter maker One Trick Pony has received an undisclosed amount of seed funding led by the Collaborative Fund, a venture capital firm focused on providing seed and early stage funding to technology companies. Other One Trick Pony investors include Magic Spoon founders Gabi Lewis and Greg Sewitz, immi founders Kevin Lee and Kevin Chan and sweetgreen co-founder Nic Jammet. MeliBio, the technology startup producing its flagship bee-free honey product called Mellody, has received an investment from Future Food Fund by Oisix, a Japan-based food technology innovation-focused investor. MeliBio said the investment brings its total funding to $10 million to date. The latest funding from Future Food Fund will enable MeliBio to expand its Mellody plant-based honey in the United States. Pantry staple producer Heyday Canning Co. has announced the launch of its limited-edition Cranberry Sauce, a whole berry sauce cooked down with maple syrup, Diaspora Co. spices, bits of candied ginger and a touch of orange. The seasonal product is available at Whole Foods Market nationwide now through December. Sparkling agua fresca producer Bawi Agua Fresca has unveiled its latest flavor, La Guayaba. According to the brand, a pink guava-flavored agua fresca that features hints of orange and hibiscus.
