The threat to the rule of law keeps growing. Firing Special Counsel Dellinger lacks justification and undermines OSC’s good governance functions. We call on Congress to ensure OSC remains free from political interference. Our Legal Director, Tom Devine, stated, “This firing doesn’t just violate the rule of law; it ignores its existence. This action by the White House has exposed that its campaign against fraud, waste, and abuse is a fraud itself. You don’t drain the bureaucratic swamp by throwing the cleanup crew to the gators.” We call on Congress and the Judiciary to ensure OSC remains free from political interference. NEW DEVELOPMENT: Protect Democracy and Selendy Gay PLLC have filed a suit on our behalf with NARFE: The Association for Federal Employees and Retirees to challenge this administration's attempt to dismantle a cornerstone of American democracy: a federal civil service rooted in merit and integrity. Schedule Policy/Career would eliminate one of the most successful oversight mechanisms for government agencies and cancel the rule of law in our country.?Our lawsuit asserts that Schedule Policy/Career subverts the time-honored national principle of governmental checks and balances, is a danger to our democratic institutions, and puts Americans’ safety at grave risk. This lawsuit is a big undertaking, but we’re ready to prove that Americans want and need competent federal workers who are loyal to the U.S. Constitution—not to this and any other president in power. Learn more about this important step towards protecting our federal civil service when we need it the most. ??

We are excited to welcome Michael Termini to our Board of Directors! Michael worked with us for nearly 17 years and served as our Chief of Staff. It is an honor to have him return to our mission. Welcome to our Board, Michael!
Certified Chief of Staff? @ American Society of International Law | Certifications: Chief of Staff; Executive Leadership; Strategic Organizational Leadership; Conflict Management; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt | Advisor
It is with profound honor and immense gratitude that I share this deeply personal milestone: I have joined the Board of Directors at Government Accountability Project. For nearly 17 years, this extraordinary organization was not just my professional home, but a second family; a place where I found purpose and fulfillment in service to the public interest. Serving at this honorable institution as its Chief of Staff, I had the privilege of working alongside brilliant colleagues, supporting courageous whistleblowers, and carrying forward the mission of championing truth, justice, and accountability. As I take on this new role, it feels like a return to a home I never truly left -- a continuation of my public service journey with this remarkable team, deeply rooted in my dedication to Government Accountability Project's vital mission and its unwavering commitment to truth and justice. This moment represents to me the fruition of decades of work in the non-profit sector, and a reaffirmation of my steadfast belief in the power of this organization to create lasting, systemic change. Reflecting on my years with my dear friends, I am reminded of the incredible individuals who risk everything to speak truth to power. Their courage inspires me daily, and their stories reaffirm why this work matters. Joining the Board of Directors allows me to continue championing this critical mission in this new capacity, while supporting an organization that has been an indelible part of my life and career. To my friends and colleagues, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your continued support and encouragement. Your belief in me and in the work of Government Accountability Project has been a source of strength and inspiration throughout my career. I step into this role with humility, hope, and a renewed commitment to the whistleblowers and public servants who are the heart of this organization. Together, we carry forward the mission that has defined so much of my life: "Because Truth Deserves a Champion."
