Gove Environmental Services, Inc. specializes in environmental resource analysis and consultations for obtaining permits and compliance with local, state, and federal wetland regulations. We offer a wide-range of services, from wetland delineations and soil mapping, to GIS mapping, preliminary land use evaluations, as well as design consultations and monitoring for restoration and construction sites, and storm water pollution prevention plans. We cater our services to fit the needs of our clients, including homeowners, developers, municipalities, and more. We can also assist clients by providing expert witness testimony in legal cases, or in obtaining after-the-fact permits for wetland-related issues.

    Senior Soil Scientist at Gove Environmental Services, Inc.

    On September 10, I will be teaching Soil Morphology II. This will be an all day workshop on logging test pits. We will be using the USDA system of soil description terminology. It is not necessary that the student have taken Soil Morphology to enroll, but the student should have some working knowledge of soil profiles to get the most out of the course. The course is offered under UNH Professional Development and Training in the Natural Resource section - Soil Science. The workshop will be in Candia, NH. It is limited to 15 students.

    Unfortunately I had a minor accident and was not able to teach Wetland Function and Values Assessment on 2/20/24. It has been rescheduled to 3/14/24. I am also teaching Introduction to Soil Mapping on 3/6/24. Both workshops can be found at UNH Professional Development and Training. Both will be at 230 Commerce Way, Portsmouth, NH.

    On February 7, 2024, I will be teaching Advanced Identification and Documenting Hydric Soils at 230 Commerce Way, Portsmouth, NH. This can be found on the website for UNH Professional Development and Training - Natural Resources and Sustainability. The emphasis will be on the documentation of hydric soils for preparation of the Wetland Determination Data Form for the Northcentral and Northeast Region, Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual. Prior training in soil morphology would be helpful.

    On January 10 of 2024 I will be instructing a workshop on the basics of soil morphology/description. This will take place in Portsmouth. It is a 3 hour workshop and is designed to give students a start in understanding the process of recording a test pit.
