Our council is seeking community volunteers who reflect the diverse life experiences and backgrounds of the youth we serve to join our Board of Directors! To grow our board, we are interested in meeting community members who are Latina/Latino and community members who work in school districts, youth social services, and law. We are so excited to welcome Josh Anderson to the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run Puget Sound! Josh joined the board to support the GOTR mission to teach invaluable life skills through interactive experiences and exercise. He has volunteered for the last few years and believes it is incredible to see how the participants blossom during each season. Josh shared, "Running truly has the ability to grow your confidence and show anyone they can achieve something large that they previously thought impossible! I am honored to join the cause and help the next generation learn these skills in any way I can.” We are so grateful to Josh and his dedication to the GOTR mission!

We are thrilled to welcome Elizabeth Kakos Resig to the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run Puget Sound! Liz joined the board because she loves how GOTR encourages girls to develop a positive relationship with movement and to find community by working towards a common goal. Liz hopes to help provide the opportunity for more youth to participate! We are so grateful to Liz and welcome her to Girls on the Run!

Kirsten joined the board after seeing the program's impact firsthand as a coach on youth in the community by increasing their confidence, camaraderie, and potential. June 30th marked the end of my 6 year board term with Girls on the Run Puget Sound. I have been honored to be involved with this organization and while championing to unlock power and potential for girls, I grew and unlocked a lot for myself. I am grateful for the impact this organization has had on my life. Today I received a Remarkable Volunteer Award from Girls on the Run International. This a national volunteer recognition acknowledging the inspirational impact volunteers have on their community GOTR. Thank you Girls on the Run International and Girls on the Run Puget Sound for the honor and the continued inspiration!
