At Torq, we believe in giving back to the community. Recently, some of our team members volunteered at Feed My Starving Children in Richardson, packing nutritious meals for children in need. Giving our time to a great cause after work was a meaningful way to come together, make a difference, and live out our company values.

"The irony is clear . . " writes Harvard Business Review, "[Big Consulting] strategy firms, who are experts at diagnosing and solving a variety of issues for their clients, are struggling to apply their own management principles internally." In an era where large consulting firms are grappling with internal challenges and struggling to adapt, businesses can benefit from the agility and personalized approach of smaller consulting firms. Specialized firms like Torq often provide tailored solutions, faster decision-making, and closer collaboration, enabling clients to implement strategies more effectively. Partnering with small consulting firms can lead to more customized and responsive consulting experiences, fostering innovation and adaptability in today's dynamic business environment.

According to a new IBM study, business leaders are rapidly losing faith in IT. The report highlights growing concerns over IT reliability, cybersecurity threats, and the increasing complexity of technology. With trust in IT systems at a low, it’s clear that urgent action and strategic reforms are needed to restore confidence and secure enterprise digital infrastructures. https://lnkd.in/gJFaW_wH

How can NBA teams maximize revenue after moving away from traditional RSNs? With expanded local broadcasts, teams like the Pelicans, Mavericks, and Trail Blazers are reaching millions of new viewers, creating a prime opportunity for high-value sponsorships. Just as the Dodgers leveraged Shohei Ohtani’s signing to secure major Japanese sponsors, NBA teams can use their broader audience to attract strategic brand partnerships. Torq's Allie Saffold and our partners at Wakefield provide the insights and tools to help teams optimize sponsorship opportunities and drive revenue growth. https://lnkd.in/g3_CcCYV

"In dynamic environments, understanding when and how to change is the essence of strategy." Rapid advancements in digital technology and the growing importance of corporate social responsibility have effectively cut the average age of businesses by two-thirds from 60 to 20 years according to the International Institute for Management Development. Business leaders can no longer assume stable economies and technology when prioritizing different lines of business. Instead, strategy must now consider 1) what is changing in the market that might affect historical sources of advantage and give rise to new opportunities, and 2) whose needs and potential contributions, beyond traditional stakeholders, are evaluated during strategic planning. Business must also consider two areas of focus to determine the form of change to pursue: 1. Fit to Purpose: How close does our product or service fit to the actual needs of our customers now and in the foreseeable future? How does it contribute to broader stakeholders (employees, communities, investors)? 2. Relative Advantage: In which areas can you claim to offer a distinctive advantage to customers and other key stakeholders? Once stakeholders answer these questions businesses can then decide on the change that's most effective at delivering on company values: 1) a Change of Magnitude that deepens existing strengths, 2) a Change in Activity that reimagines existing design and delivery of offerings, or 3) a Change in Direction to establish a more sustainable future for your business. https://mitsmr.com/3alcttS
