Putting Building Envelopes to the Test! Wellesley College’s new Health & Counseling Center, designed by Shepley Bulfinch, is taking shape! As part of the construction process, GRLA’s Building Envelope Sciences team conducted rigorous water and air infiltration testing to ensure the highest quality performance of the windows and storefront systems. ? ASTM C 1193 – Pull Adhesion Test: Guiding the use of joint sealants for long-term durability. ? ASTM E 783 – Field Air Infiltration Test: Measuring air leakage through installed exterior windows and doors. By validating these systems against industry standards, we help ensure a durable, energy-efficient, and comfortable environment for future occupants. #BuildingEnvelope #GRLA

For 25 years, Kevin R. LaCoe, LEED AP has been the mastermind behind the curtain, keeping GRLA running with his tech expertise, patience, and a legendary ability to save the day. Whether he’s fending off cyber threats (even an army of flying monkeys ??♀? can’t get past his firewall!) or reminding us all that "when in doubt… reboot," Kevin is truly the great and powerful IT guru we all rely on. Oh - and he is senior project manager too - serious double duty! Thanks for the shout-out Rubicon Builders ! Great to be part of the team helping Wayside Youth & Family Support Network do the important work they do in our communities!
Phase 1 and Phase 2 at Wayside Youth & Family Support Network are complete. The project included the creation of new classrooms and storage space and the renovation of the main foyer all while the facility and campus remained operational. We truly appreciate the collaborative partnership of the Wayside Team and Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects to plan and build the project, Thank You!
