While our "Troy Story" sculpture may not have claimed the golden bucket at the 37th annual AIA Houston Sandcastle Competition, our 8-foot-tall Trojan Horse, inspired by "Toy Story" and the Little Green Men, was a standout as a crowd favorite! More than 85 volunteers from Goree, Abel Design Group, SPD Construction, LLC, Dally + Associates, GK Engineers, LLC, Aria Signs & Design, LESCO Lighting and CBRE made the day a real success — packing sand, carving intricate designs, energizing spectators, keeping teammates hydrated and fueling the entire crew with made-from-scratch churrasco meals.
