At Gore, our promise of #TogetherImprovingLife guides us in our work. Associate Charla Frain describes it as much more than words: she experiences this promise each day in her interactions with colleagues and through the impact of Gore’s products. In her work as a business process and data governance leader, she is focused on collaborating with others to drive long-lasting business success. And in her personal life, she is among the many consumers relying on Gore’s innovations, including the comfort and protection of GORE-TEX Outerwear in her snowy hometown of Flagstaff.?#LifeAtGore #Innovation

Gore is proud to sponsor the new Diverse Universe Wall at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff! ?? ?? We believe diverse views, ideas and people help strengthen our enterprise and our ability to innovate and improve lives across the globe. This exhibit features brief biographies of cosmic explorers and scientists —?just as no two planets, stars or galaxies are alike, neither are the people who study them. There are 70 plaques on the wall honoring diverse contributors to space, including Bob Gore who discovered the core material used in many of our aerospace products. ?? ?? When Gore was founded in 1958, developing products that support space exploration was a top priority for our enterprise. In 1962, Gore played an important role in the success of the Telstar 1 satellite, which relayed the first television pictures, telephone calls, facsimile images, and provided the first live transatlantic television feed. In 1969, our technology was part of the first moon landing. Gore’s wire, cable and fabrics products have been part of more than 100 failure-free missions in space. These products continue to play a role today in GPS, cellular connectivity, satellite radio and more. #TogetherImprovingLife #STEM #Innovation #SpaceIndustry

This Veterans Day, we proudly honor Vivian E. Gaz, an invaluable Associate with 26 years of dedication. ?? Vivian’s #LifeAtGore journey began in 1997, where she found a culture rooted in values and principles that resonated with her military background. After 31 years of service, including three deployments, Vivian's commitment to her work and her fellow veterans continues to be an inspiration. As our first Veterans Business Network chair, she tirelessly champions the impact of veterans at Gore and fosters a supportive community for veteran Associates. Thank you, Vivian, and to all veterans and their families for your strength, dedication, and service. ?? #VeteransDay #VeteransAtGore

Since Gore's early years, plant parties and holiday celebrations have contributed to a sense of camaraderie at work, helping us to deliver on founder Bill Gore's objective of “making money and having fun doing so.” This includes plenty of Halloween fun, dating back to a costume parade at our first plant in 1960. Associates keep the tradition alive today with costume contests, trunk-or-treat events and other seasonal festivities. Enjoy a snapshot from one of this year's events and a favorite from our archives. The latter shows two Associates in 1960 dressed as a an early Gore electronic cable and the tape-wrapper machine that would have produced it. #LifeAtGore #CompanyCulture #Halloween ??

At Gore, we believe in celebrating our successes and having fun together. This includes a recent 80s-themed party to mark the 40th anniversary of our Barksdale plant in Delaware. From neon sweaters to side ponytails and a “Where’s Waldo” sighting, the festivities hearkened back to Barksdale’s early days. Once a manufacturing facility, the plant is now home to our Capabilities Center and is our “front door” to Gore. It is a space to showcase our incredible and passionate Associates, demonstrate our innovative technologies and inspire collaborative partnerships. During the celebration, Gore family member and Associate Betty Snyder took us through the history of Barksdale, while CEO Bret Snyder joined in the festivities. Associates also shared their favorite memories on a whiteboard (captured in the photos below). #TogetherImprovingLife #LifeAtGore #TotallyRad
