1. Why? —to not be silent anymore 2. What? —share the real stories n voices of women; to focus on the story and not the writing; the core belief being all stories are worth telling and growing into art 3. How? —with a diverse group of women identifying writers who are about growing writers 4. How does an issue come together? —promos seek out writers, assign writers their editors, send off drafts to illustrators, get my eyes on all the first drafts; set deadlines and communicate with editors, writers, illustrators. Finalize and publish issue. Make promos for new issue and put it out there. 5. Heart of the work: amplify female, female identifying narratives to push up against historical patriarchy 6. Why? —when the government threatened to take away my rights n the rights of women, I needed power and my story, our stories are the power I use to fight back. 7. Everyone who writes; everyone who has a story to tell; is a writer.
