Let There Be Change! In January 2020, I started a new job. Just two months later, in March, I began working from home—what was supposed to be a temporary adjustment turned into a five-year journey. Tonight, our theme was "The Job Market in the Age of AI," a timely and thought-provoking discussion about how AI is reshaping careers and the skills needed to stay ahead. ?? Highlights from the Meeting: ? Prepared Speech: Jennifer Hoch, DTM delivered an insightful speech on "Why Have a Toastmaster Mentor?", emphasizing the value of mentorship in professional growth. ? Table Topics Session: Led by Minkai Wu, IP3, members tackled impromptu questions on AI, career growth, and adaptability—essential skills in today's fast-changing world. ? Evaluations & Leadership Roles: Ben Liang, PM3 provided a structured general evaluation, ensuring continuous improvement. Jing Julia Yuan, PM4 gave a constructive speech evaluation to help speakers refine their skills. Grace Ding, TC4, PM5 closed the meeting with final remarks and awards. Tonight at Leaders-Speakers of Tomorrow & IT EGOS Toastmasters, our meeting theme was "The Art of Small Talk." From structured speeches to impromptu Table Topics, members had the chance to refine their ability to engage, connect, and communicate effectively. ?? Highlights from the meeting: ? Prepared Speeches: Chuyen Nguyen delivered an inspiring Ice Breaker speech as part of the Presentation Mastery Pathway (L1). Donna Young, DTM shared insights on motivation with her speech "My Way or the Highway" from the Team Collaboration Pathway (L4). ? Table Topics: Led by Denise McConnell, members practiced thinking on their feet—because conversations don’t come with scripts! ? Speech Evaluations: Emily T Murray 莫莉, DTM, and Dr. Veera B Dasari, M.Tech.,M.S.,M.B.A.,PhD.,PMP. provided valuable feedback, helping speakers refine their skills. ? Role-Based Learning: Cinthia Haros kicked off the meeting as Sergeant-at-Arms. Naga Sai Jonnalagadda expertly guided us as Toastmaster of the Day. Karl G Wang kept us on time as Timer. Diana Mussmann, TC5 facilitated the evaluation session as General Evaluator. Yujun Liang (Club Coach) ensured we stayed mindful of our filler words as Ah-Counter.
