valentine’s day… and also the birthday of the love of my life… can’t get more poetic than that…can it?? this year… we’re both celebrating 40…(and yes, i’m 25 days younger… something i take full pride in because… as they say… an older wife brings luck…clearly..it worked..?) jokes apart.. 15+ years together… and while we’re complete opposites in many ways… we just work… isha was the one who pushed me to start Goodwyn Tea - Blend For Good…and even today… i see the pride in her eyes when someone tells her they spotted our tea at a hotel or received it as a gift… now, with Goodwysh… the roles have reversed…she’s leading the way…building something of her own…and i… well, i try to advise…hoping she avoids the mistakes i made…. but here’s what i’ve learned..no advice can replace experience…you have to make your own decisions.. your own mistakes…your own learnings… when i started out..my father gave me his wisdom.. i still did things my way…sometimes right..sometimes wrong.. and now… watching isha build goodwysh.. i see the same thing unfold.. this realisation has been a game-changer.. it has allowed us to create space…space to experiment..to fail.. to grow.. space where work doesn’t spill into personal life.. but the best part is .. seeing that same spark in her eyes that i had when we were building goodwyn… because nothing compares to the thrill of bringing your vision to life… our friends now call us mr. goodwyn & mrs. goodwysh…that’s a title i wear with pride… happy birthday, isha... to another year of creating…building, and making an impact..your way… and today..i want to invite you all to be a part of her journey... follow along here: https://lnkd.in/gXrM7Hms

(wear out your sandals…)? that's what one of my professors used to say… nothing happens without hitting the pavement.. without getting your hands dirty... it's a lesson that's stuck with me… especially in sales… this week..we were prepping for a big presentation at a large conglomerate... two suitcases packed with Goodwysh products… a few more boxes to carry by hand... it's not my first time... i've done this countless times before… and each time.. it takes me back to the early days.. the hustle, the hunger that fueled every sale… Divya (a team member at Goodwysh) …offered to help carry a box…. i could see a hint of hesitation in her eyes... maybe she felt it wasn't appropriate for me.. the "director," to be lugging things around…but i assured her…this is what i love…. getting back to basics… feeling the weight of the product in my hands.. the anticipation of a potential sale... it's a feeling that never gets old… it reminds me that no matter how many wins we have.. no matter how big the company grows... we can't lose touch with that raw… unfiltered passion that got us here... because…in sales… it's not about titles or egos... it's about putting yourself out there, connecting with people, and showing them the value you bring... it's about wearing out those sandals.. one step at a time…what's your "chappal ghiso" moment?
